“My animals get wonderful care at Woodhaven.  Dr. Riebe gets right down on the floor with my dogs and spends time getting to know them.  This concern and empathy has been especially important with my two special needs dogs, Tabbie (who was blind and brain-damaged), and Talley (who is abnormally shy).  Dr. Riebe understands where you are as a pet owner and your wishes about diagnosis and treatment.  She is astute and wise about animal health.

The entire Woodhaven staff is wonderful.  They get to know you and your animals, and truly care about them.  They are very professional, knowledgeable, and nice.

Not only do animals get top-of-the-line medical care at Woodhaven, but also animal guardians receive clear explanations, respect for their wishes, and caring emotional support from the gang at Woodhaven.”

- Mary McComb and pets Daniel, Brenda, Talley, & Brett Favre
- RIP- Orlando & Tabbie

“We have been taking our dog, Rosie, to Woodhaven Animal Health periodically for three or four years now, and have been totally satisfied with the services, clinic, and staff.
I feel quite confident in our dog's care each time she is a patient at Woodhaven.”

- Margaret & Al Stemen and pet Rosie

“At Woodhaven Animal Health, all of the staff shows their devotion to the animals the minute we come through the front door.  The caring and compassion continues throughout the appointment.”

- Carole Olson and pets Newton, Neil, & Sherman"

“Dr. Riebe has been part of our lives for 10 years.  She is the first vet that I have taken my dogs to that actually gets down on the floor and talks to them like we do!  She is very thorough and genuinely cares about her patients and their families.  When we lost our first dog Carmel, she was there for me with tears and a hug.

I can't say enough about her and the staff at Woodhaven Animal Health!  I guess to put it plain and simple…..why go anywhere else?“

- Fred & Melissa Gaylord, Colten, Dominik, & Maleri and pet Gabee

“We are “Those People”!  We take our pets very seriously.  They, of course are spoiled, yes they are our “children” and are the highlights of our lives.  Taking that into consideration, finding an office like this one means so much. First of all, there is no place else we would ever take our little four-legged furry lovelies.  We were referred to Woodhaven by close friends, and have never looked back.

We've been through the gamut of emotions here, and whatever situation arose, they had nothing but kind, caring, and well meaning with every visit.  They care for our little ones as if they are their own.

The excruciating time came when we had to put down our elder, and these wonderful people at Woodhaven were nothing but compassionate.  Little did we know would later go out of their way to have our beloved memorialized, without even being asked.  We received a heartfelt sympathy card signed by everyone there, as if they were family.  Our hearts were never so touched.

We have 3 dogs now, and they are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and kindness.  We are so thankful!”

- Sincerely, Christopher & SuZ King and pets Bunnie, Bandy, & Bozzie

“When a friend told us that Dr. Riebe had started Woodhaven Animal Health there was no question as to where we would bring our little girl Cinnamon for her checkups and care.  Little did we know when we transferred Cinnamon to Woodhaven Animal Health, just how much everyone there would end up meaning to our family.  The staff at Woodhaven, Dr. Riebe, Dr. Staus, Sandy, Annie, Debbie, Beth, Jamie, Lisa, and Amanda have become extended family to us. They all show the same high level of care and compassion that reassures you that your furry family members are receiving the best care possible.  We now bring our newest family member Zoe to see them as well.”

“We never miss an opportunity to recommend Woodhaven Animal Health to every pet lover we know.  Dr. Riebe and the staff have always provided our pets with the highest quality care, and they are sure to answer every one of our questions before we leave the clinic.

We have 2 Golden Retrievers.  Wesley loves seeing everyone at Woodhaven.  He “smiles” for them and then gives them big, sloppy kisses while being examined.  Nev needs a bit more convincing, so the Woodhaven staff treats her gently and with compassion to help her feel more at ease.

We appreciate all that Dr. Riebe and the Woodhaven staff have done to help our pets live long, healthy lives.  Your pets deserve the best care possible, and that's just what you'll receive at Woodhaven Animal Health.”

- Bryn & Steve Wehrwein, and pets Wesley & Nev

“I couldn't be more pleased with Woodhaven.  The staff is always friendly, helpful, and professional, and Dr. Riebe has helped my boys through a couple of difficult patches.  Most of all, it's clear everyone there loves animals- after all, when you don't mind getting down on the floor for an examination, even if it means getting slobbery doggy kisses from English Setters, your heart is clearly in the right place.”

- Jim Gifford and pets Boomer & Chips

“Our pets are precious members of our family. Since Dr. Riebe came to the area, years ago, she has taken wonderful care of our family.  She and all of the staff at Woodhaven continue to provide us with kind and compassionate care.  They have my complete trust and loyalty.”

- Jon & Mary Pagel and pets Buzz, Annie, Tink, Toby, & Jezebelle

“I was going to write a story about how the clinic took care of our dogs when they were sick or injured, but there are so many of them I could write a book.  We are so fortunate to have a kind and caring clinic to go to like Dr. Riebe and her staff.  We know our dogs are happy to go there, for they act like puppies when they are there.  Also, when they are waiting for Dr. Riebe in the exam room, they listen by the door and bark for her.  Not a let me out bark, but hurry up so I can see you and get my treats.”

- Jane & Dave Zywicki and pets Keela & Tia

“Woodhaven Animal Health is a place that loves animals and their people. Dr. Janet, along with all the staff at Woodhaven, always begin with kindness.  They are a strong team of care-givers who offer the latest knowledge and understandings as they relate to providing the best care for my dog.  My dogs always run INTO Woodhaven!  That's the best testimonial of all.  Thanks always to the Woodhaven People.”

- Leslie McClain and pet Madison (‘Maddie')

“All the employees at Woodhaven Animal Health have always been so helpful, no matter how silly our questions might have been.  The care they have not only for our pets, but also for us as owners is incredible!

At the arrival of a pet, or even at the loss of a pet, Woodhaven employees have always cared about everything, right down to the minute details.  Thanks to all for being there when we needed you- we look forward to a new year at Woodhaven Animal Health.”

- The Taylors; John, Margaret, Sage, & Walter

“Woodhaven Animal Health offers excellent medical services for pets.  These services are comprehensive and offered by superior professionals.  Dr. Riebe and her staff are exceptionally competent in the treatment of common and extraordinary medical problems of pets.  They communicate with the animals with understanding and patience.

While the staff is most competent, they are also compassionate and courteous.  A great strength of Woodhaven is their concern for the owners of the pets they service.  They understand the deep relationship owners have with their pets.  I recommend Woodhaven Animal Health to those who wish the best medical treatment for their pets.”

- Thomas McCaig and pet Duke

“We have been with Dr Riebe for 13 years since moving to the area.  When we first moved here we had 3 pets- Elway, Jazma, & Heidi.  Jazma was diabetic and we found out one day that giving her insulin was not enough.  Elway, believe it or not, needed hernia surgery, which Dr. Riebe had to do on a Friday night.

We have since had to say goodbye to these favorite pets.   We now have 6 new ones- Otis, Forest, & Starbuck are our cats- Kallie, Tasha, & Mya are our dogs.  Tasha needed surgery for a bladder stone.  She then ended up needing a second surgery right away or we would lose her.  Dr. Riebe also did the second surgery at Easter time, and took Tasha to keep an eye on her.  We really appreciated the great care that Dr. Riebe gave to her, like she was one of her own dogs.

Now there is Otis, who likes to bring down the bats that seem to get into our home.  Well, you know that bats can carry rabies, and therefore we had to contact Dr. Riebe to be sure the bat didn't have rabies, and get a booster shot for Otis.  He managed to do this about 3 times.  We have since fixed the bat situation in our home.

The staff have been very helpful over the years with any questions and situations that our pets come up with.  Our pets are like our kids.  We like them to be healthy, but that doesn't always happen.  We have recommended Woodhaven to all our friends.”

- Mike & Mary Bink and pets

“When we decided to expand our family with a Labrador Retriever puppy, we knew it would be a rewarding experience, and a lot of work.  We had no idea the issues we were about to face.  Gypsy is the love of our life- our 1st child- perfectly happy in any situation, taking everything in stride with an impressive amalgamation of friendliness, independence, and chutzpa.  This is undoubtedly due to the committed care received from the entire staff at Woodhaven Animal Health.

Gypsy arrived as a puppy for her first visit to Woodhaven, based on a recommendation, and was immediately comfortable.  It's all about the animals at Woodhaven- from the attention received in the waiting room, to the simple act of sitting on the floor with them during the exam so they feel more relaxed.  All of the areas are always clean, and the staff will go out of their way to make sure you and your pet are content, no matter what the reason for your visit.

Over the past 2 years Gypsy has had many visits to Woodhaven to see Dr. Riebe and the staff.  It was Woodhaven who diagnosed a major food allergy as a cause of her multiple ear and intestinal infections, and then successfully guided Gypsy and her parents through months of food trials.  It was Woodhaven who detected early, and successfully treated her Anaplasma.  No question is ever too small, or concern too minor, for the staff when easing an owner's mind.  Discussions for holistic approaches to wellness and care are welcome at Woodhaven.  Their connection with the UW Madison Veterinary Hospital allowed for top notch orthopedic consultation when Gypsy decided to tear a ligament in her leg while hunting.

There really is so much good to be said for the staff at Woodhaven Animal Health. They are there not just for the emergency and the big issues, but also for the small details of pet health, and the everyday wellness of all the animals.”

- Brian & Doreen Wille and pet Gypsy

“We have had the best of times and the worst of times with Woodhaven Animal Health.  Dr. Riebe diagnosed problems with both of our beloved dogs that other vets couldn't.  She has always had the utmost compassion, gentleness, and love for her patients.  The staff is always there at her side with understanding and kindness.  You can tell they all truly have a love for their jobs and our pets.
It is with much sadness and many tears that we have now had to say goodbye to our dear dogs.  I do have to say Woodhaven has made the experience a little easier with their sincere concern, and caring ways for our loss.  We truly care for each and every one of you, and want to thank you again for being YOU!  Woodhaven was truly sent from above.”

- Denise & Linda Dahlman and the late Casey & Zac

“In addition to offering state of the art products and services, Dr. Riebe and the entire staff always provide a comfortable and loving environment for their patients.  It is apparent at each visit that they care for their furry friends.”

- Carl Merola and pet Shadow

“I have 2 German Shepherds that are working dogs, Search and Rescue.  Sasha is retired now and approaching 14 years old.  She's worked hard and has served well.  She had 2 cruciate repair operations and arthritis has set in.  She had a hard time getting around without limping, especially stairs.  I discussed her situation with Dr. Riebe.  I didn't want her to be on any ‘hard' medication that might have other health side-effects. Dr. Riebe did some research and suggested a newer drug on the market.  She gave me a sample to see how it agreed with Sasha.  This was nearly a year ago.  In the past year I play ball with Sasha nearly every day.  Due to Dr. Riebe's extra efforts doing the research, Sasha's quality of life has improved 100%.  She has thoroughly enjoyed this past year, looks forward to her walks, and especially ball playing.  Since she was a pup she has lived to work and play ball.  She can, and does, now enjoy her well deserved later years.

Beck is now my working dog and through her same diligent care, she has not let Beck miss a single call out.”

- Dennis Schenk and pets Sasha & Beck

“I trust Woodhaven to provide the best care for my dogs.  It seems to me the staff's first concern is animal welfare, and not the bottom line.  When my dog Duchess died, Janet wept with me.  I'll never forget how touched I was by her sympathy and care for my beloved girl.”

- Alice Randlett and pets

“Open arms greeted Sadie, our new puppy, at her first visit to Woodhaven.  Everyone shared hugs, puppy kisses, and smiles.  Sadie happily runs in at every visit to see her friends again.  We couldn't have a better experience or receive better care, anywhere else.”

- Cindy Weidner, and pet Sadie

“Always on the forefront of latest procedures and diagnostics…. I owe this clinic for the quality of life my Italian Greyhounds live- and the care given while in their care- Cheers!”

- Sandy Bernd and pets Donzi, Lester, & Maxwell

“Our pets have been seeing Dr. Riebe and her staff since 1990.  Our ‘kids' have all had special needs.  Dr. Riebe and her staff have always shown great patience and understanding when caring for them.  They have always gone above and beyond to take good care of our pets, and us.  Woodhaven is a truly amazing place that has a very caring and professional staff, who come very highly recommended by our 4-legged kids and their parents.”

- Mike & Ruth Coulthurst and pet Toto

“We'd like to thank Woodhaven for their part in keeping our pets healthy.  We appreciate the extra care you take to go the extra mile, to make our pets feel like part of the family.  Maggie and Marley love the treats and the smiling faces!  Dr. Riebe was so patient and helpful in answering questions when we had our first litter of puppies with Maggie.  We are grateful for the staff at Woodhaven Animal Health.  It's great to know our pets are in good hands.”

 - Mike & Jill VanderZanden and pets Maggie & Marley

“Camp Janet, which is what I like to call Woodhaven, and I go way back- to my 6th day in Wisconsin, to be exact.  A mere 8 weeks old, I managed to ingest a small bit of landscape plastic when my family wasn't looking.  Boy, was I sick!  Who helped me through this tough time?  My pal Janet!

Then I dislocated my shoulder on the 4th of July, by this time I was almost 3 months old.  The step from the patio to the ground was bigger than I thought.  Who saw me at 11:15pm that night?  My pal, Janet!

Then I got Lyme disease and Ehrlichia, despite all of our precautions.  I was so sick, but Janet, Lisa, and the whole staff helped me get well.  When my illness made me stumble and injure my leg, Camp Janet came to the rescue again.  Now I have my own royal blue racecar…er…stroller, which I use when my leg is too sore!

I'm a pretty challenging pup- food allergies (which caused Pancreatitis), environmental allergies (which cause yearly ear infections), and an aversion to nail clippers (which is why I get my nails dremeled).  Through it all, my family and I count on Camp Janet to get me through.  You can tell by my smile how much I love my friends at Woodhaven.  You'll love ‘em, too!!”

“We always recommend Woodhaven.  Dr Riebe is a great vet, and very thorough.  Her staff is very competent and caring.”

“When Anthony broke his foot, we did not know what to do.  Dr. Riebe put us on the right course.  The staff at Woodhaven was very caring and patient.   Anthony's quality of life is what it is today thanks to Dr. Riebe and her staff.”

- Nicole Meeks and pet Anthony

“What can we say about Woodhaven Animal Health?  Chuck and I are honored and blessed to have found the incredible staff and facility at Woodhaven.  We have as our life-long companion, what we call our “million dollar baby,” our Wiemaraner Klaus.  A patient of Dr. Riebe and her incredible staff since around age 1.  Our boy has gone through bloat surgery, severe allergy and toxicity issues, as well having to have 6 teeth pulled.  We have been blessed through all this with the expertise, compassion, and persistence of Dr. Riebe and her staff.  Their willingness to work with us through all aspects of his care, and openness to look for and work with alternatives, is remarkable.  Their care and concern during and after treatment is rated above and beyond.  My husband and I are property managers and work in different areas around the country.  To this day, and throughout the life of our pet and beyond, Dr. Riebe and her staff are the first ones we consult with on any issue.  Thank you for doing what you do, and why you do it!”

- Chuck & Stevie Hartman and pet Klaus

“We met Dr. Janet Riebe through the first dog we adopted after our move to Stevens Point.  Our dog Tasha had been brought in by her first owner to be euthanized because she had cut herself jumping out of a window, a result of separation anxiety.  Instead of putting Tasha down, Dr Riebe took Tasha into her care, until she was well enough to be put up for adoption at the Portage County Humane Society.  After meeting Dr. Riebe, we knew we could never go to another vet.  For over 10 years we have counted on her amazing mix of compassion, knowledge, and skill.  One of the things that sets her apart from other vets we had been to is the time she takes to thoroughly explain procedures and test results, so we can choose the best option for our pets.  She keeps abreast of the most current techniques and information, and she has proven herself to be an excellent surgeon.  We not only take our own pets to Woodhaven, but also the rescue dogs and service dog puppies we foster.  Her helpful and friendly staff have always made us feel welcome.  From bringing a new furry member into our family, to the release of a beloved furry friend to the Rainbow Bridge, we can count on compassionate care from the vets and staff at Woodhaven.”

“Thank you on behalf of our fur-kids who actually like going to the vet!”

- Terese Barta & Jim Sobaskie

“We had been ‘nursing' a wound on our chocolate lab, Dakota's, pad for over a year. We felt the need to move to a different vet to get another opinion. That is when we met Dr. Janet Riebe. From the moment we met her, we knew she would help us find a way to help our Dakota be healthy and happy again. She guided us along a very difficult path which included amputating one of Dakota's digits, surgery at the Appleton clinic, and many more bandages. After giving the paw the absolute best care we could, we had decided it was time we needed to amputate the leg (up at the shoulder).

You can imagine how terrified we were, but Dr. Riebe's expertise, caring, compassion, and success stories really made us feel comfortable enough to take this step. Dr. Riebe performed a Fantastic surgery and Dakota was up and running on 3 legs in no time at all. He's truly excited every time he goes to Woodhaven, because he knows he will receive the Absolute Best Care (and a few treats always help too!).”

-Brenda Trzinski & pet Dakota

“Woodhaven Animal Health and Dr. Janet Riebe have provided exceptional care and service for our numerous puppies and dogs. We currently have 10 Giant Alaskan Malamutes and have bred Malamutes over the last 4 years. Unusual circumstances have arisen which Dr. Riebe has thoroughly investigated, diagnosed, and competently treated. Woodhaven Animal Health has always been understanding and caring. Dogs have been a part of our life for over 35 years, and we believe Dr. Riebe is the most competent veterinarian we have ever utilized. Dr. Riebe has been our vet for over 15 years, and we are extremely happy to have her as our vet. We would comfortably refer anyone to her clinic.”
