Dr. Janet Riebe

Veterinarian

Plover and Stevens Point, WI Veterinarian – Woodhaven Animal Health

Education: Undergraduate studies at UW-Milwaukee & UW-Madison; Graduate of UW-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine

Career: Since graduation from Veterinary School, Dr. Riebe has worked at practices in Green Bay and Plover

Dr. Janet Riebe has always had a love of animals since she was young. Her mother recalls as a child that Janet would always want to care for any sick or injured animal in their neighborhood. This innate compassion for animals, coupled with her interest in biology and general science, led her to a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Riebe started her career in Green Bay in 1992. She relocated to central Wisconsin in 1994, working as a small animal veterinarian for Corriente Animal Hospital. Dr. Riebe established her own practice in 1999, starting the clinic in her home. In 2001, the clinic was relocated to the current facility in Plover.

Dr. Riebe enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, especially surgery. She enjoys the clientele as well as the staff. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, road and mountain biking, hiking, kayaking & SUP, Green Bay Packer football, and catering to her critters.

She is the proud “parent” of Otis, a Labrador Retriever mix, and Addie & Syndey, Labrador Retrievers. She also has Marley, a miniature horse, Magic, a Paint horse, and a goat, Hansel.

Dr. Jennifer Staus

Veterinarian

Education: Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at UW-River Falls; graduate of UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.

Career: Dr. Staus worked at a clinic in Watertown, WI, for over seven years until returning to her hometown of Merrill, WI. Since her move back to central Wisconsin, she has been working full-time as a relief veterinarian.

Her dream of becoming a veterinarian started at the age of nine. Now, living her dream, she enjoys educating clients on the behavioral concerns of their furry family members, performing surgery, and helping manage medical conditions.

When time allows, Dr. Staus enjoys scuba diving, fishing, golfing, playing piano, and reading. She is married to Steve and also shares her home with Cash, a border collie mix. 

Lisa

CVT

Lisa has worked at Woodhaven since 2001. Lisa says she enjoys helping people take care of their pets to improve their quality of life. Lisa enjoys all aspects of her job, especially radiology and surgery. In 2009, she became a certified veterinary technician and continues to attend various seminars to keep her skills current.

Outside of work, Lisa spends most of her time training for confirmation, agility, obedience, and earth dog with her dogs and loves to snowmobile as the weather permits in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. Lisa is the proud parent of Gage, an English Springer Spaniel, and Lettie, a Russell Terrier. She also shares her home with her fiance, Chris, and his black lab, Moose.

Jamie

CVT

Jamie joined our team in May of 2007 and became a certified technician in 2010. In her career, Jamie has taken additional special training in canine massage, nutrition, and behavior. She is interested in all areas of veterinary medicine and loves to learn new techniques. In 2020, she also took on the role of practice manager in addition to her technician duties.

In her free time, she enjoys riding and training her horse, hiking with and training her dogs, spending time with her boyfriend, Andy, and traveling.

Jamie is the proud “parent” of Pax and Phoenix, Dalmatians, two cats, Tobias & Mischief, and a Thoroughbred horse named Westley.

Dana

Veterinary Assistant

Dana was originally a client before joining the staff of Woodhaven in 2015. She enjoys working with all dogs, cats, & clients.

Dana enjoys that each day brings something new to learn or a new task to complete. Seeing the good outcome of medical treatment is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.

Outside of work, Dana enjoys volleyball, water sports, live music, and spending time with her dogs. She is the proud “parent” of Payton, an American Pit Bull Terrier, and Mazikeen, a Great Dane, along with Morticia, her cat.

Kaity

CVT

Kaity previously worked at an equine clinic for ten years before joining Woodhaven in 2020. She enjoys getting to know the personalities of each patient, big and small.

Kaity has many favorite outdoor activities, such as gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. She loves spending time with her husband, Jordan, her Australian Shepherd, Cody, Beauceron, Tripp, and her cats, Cheddar and Sven.

Shanna

Veterinary Assistant

Shanna joined the team in the fall of 2021 after most recently working at an emergency veterinary clinic. She holds an Associate Degree in Interior Design from FVTC (2007) and an Associate Degree in Animal Science from NTC (2020).

Shanna has always been passionate about working with animals, and she chose to pursue that dream after spending several unfulfilling years in interior design. She loves her new career and finds caring for animals truly rewarding.

Shanna enjoys taking trips to Door County, being on the water, and spending time with her family. She and her husband have two children, a dog Yoshi (Yorkie/Shih Tzu), and three cats, Pumpkin, Spice, & Vader. 

Mary

Receptionist

Mary was a long-time client and was delighted to have the opportunity to join our team at Woodhaven in 2013. She states that we all share a common bond of wanting the best care for our pets, and she feels that it is so satisfying to play a part in serving the needs of our clients and their pets.

Mary enjoys spending time in nature, caring for her birds, pigeons, and chickens. She also enjoys gardening. She shares her home with her two dogs, Pip, a Chihuahua mix, DeeDee, a Terrier mix, and two cats named Nick and Sophie. She also enjoys spending time with her “finest and proudest work”: her sons, Ross and Evan.

Lake

Lake graduated from UWSP in 2021, with a major in animal Biology and a minor in neuroscience and animal behavior. She grew up surrounded by animals of all types and always knew she wanted to work with them from an early age. She has a passion for animal education and behavior.

In her free time, she enjoys painting pet portraits, hiking with her dog, traveling, and trying new food.

She shares her home with her fiance Eric and is the proud “parent” to Fauna, an Australian Shepherd, and two cats Junebug and Jackie.

Brenna

Brenna

Brenna joined our team in May 2023. She had previously worked at Fox Valley Blue Pearl Emergency Center as an assistant. She has a bachelor’s degree in history and shares her work time at the Marathon County Historical Society.

In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, embroidery, and baking. She also loves spending time with her boyfriend, Mikko, and her fur kids: Baloo, a Great Dane, and her two Guinea Pigs, Esme & Lizzie.
